Switching back to Diltiazem SR from Norvasc

As flowergirl told me that Norvasc might be the reason to my high heart rate I'm switching back to Diltiazem SR, I will start from 90 mg twice daily and see what would happen. Also I will have to stop taking Zebeta 2.5 mg, I have been on it for only 2 days so I think it's not a big deal. Is that safe? I remember that my dr told me it's safe to switch from one CCB to another because they work the same way.
What do you think? I will keep you posted about what I feel and also about my heart rate.
