    Antibiotics & low potassium etc

My husband recently had a severe Strep throat. I thought I better check the heavy duty antibiotic he took: Avelox.

It seems even antibiotics can interact with other drugs such as heart rhythm drugs. If you have low potassium, you shouldn't take this drug. Read, Read, Read !!! Since I am on a diuretic & at risk for low potassium, don't think I would be taking this drug unless a less potent antibiotic didn't work. We really need a pharmacist on board to double check our DR's R/. Luckily, I didn't get the Bug.
