Pulse - any thoughts?
I have had my bp under control for over a year now, at about 125/80, using meds (Methyldopa). Due to an injury I could not exercise for quite some time, and having now recently recovered, in January I started going to the gym 3-4 times a week, approx 40 minute cardio workouts. While taking my bp at home on my monitor, it shows my pulse - normally it is about 75-80 bpm, but the last two weeks, it has dropped consistently to 56 bpm, and I can feel this difference in my chest - not pain, but just feeling the difference. My blood pressure is fine. Any ideas about this? Do you think this is a reason I should see my doctor?

Re: Pulse - any thoughts?
No clue about what is going on, but certainly would call my dr. and ask for any answers. You said you feel it in your chest, so do make a call. If it is nothing, at least you will have peace of mind. Good luck and keep us posted. JJ

Congratulations! You are getting fit - that is why your pulse is dropping. Nothing sinister.
