A problem is that with any endocrine disease, especially in early stages, no one has all the symptoms. It's what makes it hard to diagnose unless a doctor is paying attention. The other issues is that the symptoms often creep up slowly.

If you want to pursue this the tests you want are.

Thyroid: TSH, Total T4 and Free T3
Sex Hormones: AM testosterone, Total and Free.
Liver/Pituitary: IGF-1
A Saliva Cortisol Test.

Good luck.

it depends on when you notice the hormonal imbalance. The trouble is that by the time you have these very noticeable side effects, you've already been experiencing the hormonal shift. so it all depends on where you are on the slide.

your question doesn't lend itself to any answer other than 'yes' as low T, low thyroid function, high prolactin all lead to troubles with a person's sex life.

one issue that is often discovered only late is that the person may understand that what they assumed to be " normal", never was.

They assume that their sex drive , which is low or different from their friends , is the norm and that everyone else appears to be horn dogs.

it's only when they get treatment that they realize that their normal was under-performance.

some think that their previous libido was fine. others think that it was a shame that they didn't have normal hormone levels.
