Best Way to keep the infection away

I recently was told i have HPV from my doctor. I am very upset about the situation and the boyfriend most likely has it as well. I want to know that best ways to keep the infection away so that he and I aren't passing it back and forth making it worst. Also staying as healthy as i can should I take vitamins. I just dont know what to do. I have so may questions dont know where to start.

The best place to start learning about HPV is going to the Center for Disease Control's website and reading about HPV.

You can be reassured that you and your boyfriend are not "passing it back and forth". You have, however most likely exposed each other to whatever strains of HPV either of you started out with at the beginning of your relationship (assuming you are having some sort of sexual relations). Once you are exposed to HPV, you have it. It might go dormant and then reactivate, but you don't "get it again." You might, however get another strain of HPV.
