I am not sexually active, other than with my husband, and I tested postive for HPV. How could I have got this disease?

Your husband could have passed it on to you. If your husband is not the first person you have had sex with, you could have gotten it before him and just never showed any signs (example: genital warts, abnormal cells from a pap smear) Hope this helps!

Yep, to everything Bwarr said.

Just because you are recently diagnosed doesn't mean you were exposed to it recently. It can stay in your body for days, weeks, month, years, even decades before it is detected.
