How common is hypochondria like feelings with anxiety/panic?

I passed my nuclear stress test and now I am wondering if my pains from my chest could be a tumor.

Is it common to have irrational fears concerning possible illnesses?

I think Hypochondria IS THE MOST COMMON thing with anxiety sufferers.

Lets face it Anxiety causes 100% focus on ourselves and our bodies for long periods of time. All this time and focus cause you to search and imagine every little thing that could be wrong. Seriously Hypochondria is VERY COMMON.

Absolutely, I recently had blood tests (my hair is falling out, low iron) and my potassium came back very high, I started to look it up on the net and it can mean kidney disease so I worried about that and had another blood test which came back normal, also I passed out once because when I was showering I started bleeding down there and something came out, my first thought was cancer and death (which is why I passed out) it turned out to be a harmless polyp. Heart palps make you think you are having a heart attack, etc etc Panic/anxiety is a terrifying thing and for me it took a lot of convincing that all these symptoms were just panic. But I am still here and am calmer when I get symptoms because I have survived them all so far!!!
