Reactive Hypoglycemia

I do not have diabetes but have a diagnosis of reactive hypoglycemia. After abdominal surgery to repair a large paraesophageal hiatal hernia, I developed reactive hypoglycemia. I have had so many low blood sugar issues that I am no longer getting the typical symptoms of low glucose. I can go from high to low in seconds without warning. Needless to say this has drastically impacted my daily life. I seldom drive, wear a medic alert around my neck when home alone & am not safe to swim alone or care for grandchildren bt myself. I am also nervous while sleeping should I drop too low. My endrocronologist has suggested a continuous glucose monitor for me. My question is, has anyone used one for this condition? If so, has it helped you? Please give me your pros & cons if you use one.
Thank you!
