What actually is it!?

ed pill (been on it for 12 years) for menstruation related problems, that again really took hold at the same time....

Doesnt sound like hypoglycemia because you stated that carbs dont do anything to you. Hypoglycemia is low blood sugar; and carbs would throw you for a tailspin.

Eating every few hours is actually much healthier than eating huge meals only once or twice a day.

This could be somewhat psychosomatic. Are you on such a tight schedule or been on such a consistent schedule that your brain is just telling you its time to eat? Some people are hungry at the same exact times every day because they have trained their bodies to eat at the same time every day and its a Pavlovian response. 9 am- breakfast. 12 pm - lunch. 2 pm- snack. etc.

Have you considered seeing a nutritionist? They might be able to get you on higher protein diets which will keep you fuller longer and help you break the cycle you are on.

Just a thought.

It's best to eat 6 smaller meals and eat about every 2 hours.

Fats and protein digest slower so they will keep you going longer.
