Did your doctor take the ovaries as well? If you still have them, please go see your doctor and have a vaginal ultrasound. It could be something as simple as ovarian cysts, which can be horribly painful and cause lower back pain.

I had my hyster a little over a year ago, and I'm still having the horrible pelvic pain...daily. I'm so sorry you're having to go thru this, too. Please call your doc first thing Monday!

I had a hysterectomy just over 2 years ago. Was feeling good until first of April. I started having pelvic pain. I felt like my insides were falling out. I went to gyno, he said my cervix was inflamed then gave me some medicine to insert. I used it, but did not feel better. I went back again, he said maybe bladder and gave me an anitbiotic. I started to feel better, but pain did not go completely away. About 4 weeks later I was in bad pain with fever. I went back they did ultrasound and said my bowels were inflamed. I called gastro dr the same day. Had an ct scan 3 days later which showed a cyst on my ovary. Called gyno back, he said it was not causing me this much pain and will repeat ultrsound on 24th. Went to gastro dr on Friday, he says infection in colon. Gave me 10 more days of antibiotics. He said the cyst looks nasty and that I should not ignore it. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for 2 weeks then it's back to gyno for cyst. When does it ever end!!! I'm so tired of spending money on dr bills. I wish men had to deal with all these achey female parts and maybe they would know what pain is.

Hahaha...Angelee, you crack me up! I've often said if men had just ONE PERIOD, they would call in sick, swear they were dying, make sure their will is in order, and just lay there to die!! sounds like you need to give your Gyno the boot, and fast! If she/he doesn't realize the difference between the pains of ovarian cysts and colon problems, she/he doesn't need to be in business. I do feel for you, though, because Doctors spend a grand total of 2-3 minutes in the exam room, and they never listen the way we need them to listen!
