CVID-patients: did IVIG or SCIG help you with chronic fatigue?

I was recently diagnosed with CVID (IgG 4.15 g/l; IgA 0.22 g/l; IgM 0.40 g/l, with a poor vaccination response to pneumococcus (1 out of 9)).

My doctor offered me to start with life-long immunoglobulin therapy (IVIG or SCIG). Iím a bit hesitant wether or not to start, because the last few years I havenít had a lot of respiratory infections.

My main complaint is terrible chronic fatigue (>15 years) and post-exertional malaise. If there is any hope that Ig-therapy is going to help me overcome my chronic fatigue, then I would go for it. Otherwise I wonder if all the side effects will outweigh the benefits for me.

Anyone out here with CVID + fatigue who went on Ig-therapy? Did it improve or worsen your fatigue?

Hi Mika, I don't know if you'll come back and see this, but there is really not another option when you have CVID. You need the treatments in order to survive. Without them, you will just get sicker. I hope you decided to get the treatments. I have been getting infusions since March 2017. I don't know if it will help with the fatigue, because fatigue is actually a part of CVID.

I'd like to know how you are doing.
