edema enlarged lymph nodes in the groin

I have painful bilateral edema since June 2014, dx by rheumatologist as vasculitis (blood vessels inflammation leading to capillaries leakage) left lower leg is red and more inflamed than right. Thus occurred concomitantly my starting taking Xarelto 20 mg because of AFI (3 isolated episodes). The Xarelto produced blood in the urine and it was stopped, but the edema has continued unperturbed. It has been treated with Medrol (methylprednisolone) now on 4 mg/day, which helped at first but no results visible at present.
Yesterday bilateral lower extremity Doppler exam rendered :valvular incompetence of the right below knee greater saphenous vein-
nothing on the left despite being more inflamed and color red. In addition, enlarged bilateral lymph nodes (2.14X0.89) and 1.38X1.12) in the groin, with a temperature of 98.8.

    Do I have an infection?

The edema increases the pain produced by idiopathic small fiber peripheral polyneuropathy-makes skin extremely sensitive to pain. For the latter I used to take Trileptal but due to rash, the y changed me to Lamictal 25 mg X2, due to an increment in a few days of 25 mg X2/morning and 25 mgX4 night.

    what is going on?

sore on heel of left foot continues to be painful although closed

my drs. are perplexed and so I am.

    any light?
