Hi, I have been having problems with incontinence for years. I have had surgery to no avail. Leakage of urine doesn't bother me much, it is the other that has caused problems. I have seen a colorectal surgeon and it was suggested i have more surgery. My concern is that this is from the myotonic dystrophy and surgery will not help. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: incontinence

Hi Monnie: I am sure that this is more than frustrating...If I were you and had this question in my mind I would want it solved if at all possible...Sure the Myotonic Dystrophy is in the back of your mind as it could be hereditiary...However, I would definitely go forward and see another colorectal surgeon and still another if you are still not sure...I would exhaust all options and then figure out which is the best way to go....

Good luck and I hope all goes well...Take care...ILD....
