7 month old head shaking no
My boy is 7 mnths and just started shaking his head in a no like manner. I have read a little about it. Just that its something new they are learning. I guess I am worried about his ears. I also read that it can be related to teething and pain they feel in their ears. Can anyone help me out on this one?

My son started doing the same at around the same is new to them and feels different. I think it is completely normal and there is no need to worry (that I know of). He is now 9 months and still thinks it is funny and laughs when he sees the reaction from others as he shakes his head.

My baby does that when he's really tired. Could your baby be tired?

Re: 7 month old head shaking no
My son started to do this around the same age but this was due to an ear infection, as i soon realised as i took him to doctors. No need to worry as my son had other symptoms too like pulling on his ear and high temperature (38 +). If your child hasn't got these symptoms then its possible it's a new learning experience.
Hope this helps

Re: 7 month old head shaking no
I would go by how your baby is acting.... if he is acting like something is bothering him, then go ahead and take him in and have him checked out (specifically his ears).

If he's happy and playing and isn't acting bothered by anything, then I wouldn't worry about it and chalk it up to he's learned something new. :)

my 9 month old has been doing that for awhile and now laughs when she does it....

"do you love dada" she shakes her head no and laughs

"do you love mama?" shakes her head no

"are you a little monster" she looks at me and laughs...
