I've been fighting BPPV for almost a month now. I blacked out once and fell and finally went to the ER after a week . . . that's where I got the first diagnosis. Another week of vertigo and nausea and I went to my primary care doctor. I received a prescription and given instructions on the Epley maneuver.

The Epley maneuver has helped a LOT but because it's been going on for so long, I'm almost afraid to move (bend over, turn my head too quickly, sleep on the wrong side. etc.) I'm tired of trying to sleep in an up-right position after the Epley maneuver gets the vertigo stopped but am afraid if I start sleeping in a normal position the vertigo will return and I'll be right back where I started.

How will I know when the loose crystal is back in place and I can return to my normal routine? I'm tired of being nauseous, feeling unbalanced, and want my life back to normal.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
