do you fly with sinus infection?

I have an inner ear disorder - either Meniere's or just episodic vertigo in the last 50 years. I have a raging sinus infection and am on prednisone and antibiotics--this is the second round of antibiotics in two months, it just isn't clearing up. I'm terrified to fly next week. I can barely get off the couch right now, just hoping the meds clear it up. While at the ENT office I read that flying with a sinus infection can result in eardrum perforation, vertigo or more serious consequences. Has anyone else flown with a sinus infection and if so, what happened?
