Red face Flu came with odd dizziness & numbness in right arm - can it be VL?

    Hi guys and gals!

Hope there's someone out there who's gone through what I've gone through, so I can get some help because my GP is at a loss ...

In March I got a cold, and my right arm got super heavy, like lead. Up until this point I had spend 7-8 hours a day writing on my stories, taking little to no breakes, so my right arm already felt typically heavy for the situation, and strained like it usually does during excessive bouts of computer writing. I went to bed super late, waaaay too late considering how tired I felt.

The cold came in full bloom, and my right arm felt normal again. Then the dizziness started *plays scary music*. It was short and felt like something was shaking my head, kind of. No nausea or nothing, but continuous periods of fever.

In May, I had one of the worst days yet, mainly because this whole experience has been so new to me. I woke up, headed out for a walk and a coffee, and felt as though the world was turning. Like the ground fell from beneath my feet. I felt like my mouth and right arm had anesthesia, though I could still walk and control my body just fine. Went straight to the doctor's and was cleared of any life threatening conditions, like strokes, blood clots etc.

I think what troubles me is the feeling of this cold/flu having been so connected to my right arm. I have no idea why it's like this.

That said, I went to an ear specialist who found an open wound in my ear canal (I used to scratch inside of my ear just lightly, because I itched so bad!). This has now healed completely also, after many months, and I guess it might be a link between this and my flu/dizziness symptoms?

I'm in way better shape now, and have always felt a continual process in this thing. There's no more fever. The dizziness is near to gone, though when it appears it feels somewhat stronger than in the beginning - but either way, I feel it's heading in the right direction. Coffee and alcohol really triggers it, though. And stress in general.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

**Also, all dizziness vanishes completely when in a moving car/bus etc.
