Shaking vision etc please help

Can anyone please help, I don't know how to cope with this anymore.. 5 months and no relief....

Looking at the horizon or anything further than around 4 feet away seems to bob about or wobble, like I cannot fixate on it.
If I watch TV it seems like double vision but not quite.
Also, i feel really dizzy after a long walk and especially after I cycle.

I had a vestibular test and there was no severe vestibular dysfunction. I was told it could be the nerves in my neck which I don't believe since another doc said that wouldn't affect my vision.
I'm really lost on this and it's debilitating...
Anyone with similar issues?? Thanks

Have you had your eyes checked by an opthamologist? I've had similar shakiness at times. I tried watching a movie at the theatre and couldn't really view the whole screen. It's almost like my eyes are always straining.

I'm curious if it could be my neck as well. I pulled a muslcle there a few weeks ago, but most docs say that can't be related to vision stuff. Had any progress?

Did your Vision thing start with the neck issue? No I've had no real improvement, I'm in despair haven't really done anything about it so far I simply don't know 'what' to do, doctors are ignorant. My neck hurts a lot now however, I think I need to get a physiotherapist and try...

I'm sorry to hear you have this too, it's good to share experiences.

Can you describe your vision does it seem unstable like a camera held by hand?

And yes, I did have my eyes checked they found no problems unfortunately. So far undiagnosed as anything except anxiety however I know full well this isn't...

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

Might have been a coincidence for me and the neck. Did the eye doc say you need glasses? I'm thinking maybe my eyes are straining so hard it causing them to shake. I just ruled it out myself because i saw no improvement with glasses. Very similar what you were saying, but like when a camera tries to auto focus. Mine gets worse when I look at a computer screen.

It is kinda refreshing to hear other having similar issues. No one is alone. I'm gonna see an Ophthalmologist soon because the two times I went to Optometrist it felt like they were trying to sell me glasses. They just retested my eyes the second time and said my glasses prescription didn't change.

Did you get any neck x-rays
or anything? I've read a few places about pinched nerves causing vision problems. I was really hoping that would be it for me.

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

No, according to the opthalmologist my eyes are fine, I had a VEP etc.

Haven't had a neck scan but will ask for one, my neck SERIOUSLY aches.

My symptoms are double vision effect looking at the TV, and things seem to wobble. I also have what seens like a haze over my vision.

I'm so exhausted by it, my balance seems affected too. And I have Tinnitus and hearing loss which makes everything even worse. I would rather be dead tbh.

Is your vision issue similar? What happened to your neck?

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

My symptopms are all the time, but worsen when looking at computer screen etc. About 6 months ago my son was hanging on my neck and pulled a muscle. It was painful for a week. Then 3 weeks ago I got the same pain after pushup and situps. Then this other stuff started happening. Maybe it was a coincidence. I've had some ringing in ears periodically too, but doc didn't notice anything. Kinda feels like all the senses are connected somehow. jJust trying to figure out which one is the culprit. What does a vestibular test look for?

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

A vestibular test tests your balance function of the inner ear. This will affect eye movements if damaged.

If you got neck issues it can affect the nerves connecting your vestibular system I think...

I've got tinnitus too, it gets worse when I put my chin down to my chest.

This is a nightmare, I'm so tired of these issues. I was 100% healthy before this and now hearing, eyesight, balance. Tinnitus, it's a living hell.

Have you found any relief??

What specific symptoms do you have???? Shaking vision when you move or stationary or both? Double vision?

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

Same here I started exercising again and this started happening. I have periodic ringing it comes and goes, but not sure if thats causing the vision stuff or vise versa. Not much releif, I noticed its a little easier to see at night maybe because less focus is required, but I noticed I see starbursts around lights that I didnt before. It's not exactly double vision, but a slight blurriness around everything. So its tough to read text. Do you have any issues with peripheral vision? I think I need to head back to the eye doc and see whats up.

The shaking happens sometimes when I concentrate on far away stuff.

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

It's got worse for me Yes, vestibular dysfunction, i don't know the cause or if it's temporary. I think vestibular neuritis is temporary and can cause damage however usually happens in only one ear. Mine is in both ears... I'm trying everything now, i read about glutamine nerve excitoxicity so have changed my diet, vitamins to protect nerves, and antioxidants, everything, nothing changes... I also have hearing loss and tinnitus so it can only be.
What are your symptoms? Bounce when you walk? Depth perception off? Shaking when moving or still or both?

All day everyday shaking...sometimes my head feels like it is swelling...like someone is pumping a balloon in my head, but its only when I lean to the right which is my affected ear. It happens very rarely. But the eye shaking is all day everyday and very rapid so I cant drive or do ANYTHING. 3 months of this. Honestly I don't have any other symptoms. I am balanced, no dizziness, no nothing but the random head swelling thing and these damn eyes

Re: Shaking vision etc please help

Oh and also...a neurologist gave me Klonopin and the shaking stopped. But when I went to the inner ear specialist he said I had to come off the meds and do vestibular rehab therapy if I have any hope of getting back to normal. I start rehab next Friday. Had to get off the meds first. Eyes went RIGHT back to shaking crazy as soon as I wasn't on the meds for a day.
