Help please!

Please tell me if any of you feel this way cause I am freaking out! Yesterday I was a lil tired cause i stayed up till 1 am that morning and got up at 9. Still enough sleep i would figure. Well abotu 5pm came and it was like a wave poured over me. I was so tired I couldnt stand well. Then I layed onthe couch and watch a movie and it eventually wasnt so overwhelming....I was like hmmm that was wierd. Well I got at least 8 hours last night and now it is morning and I am exhausted! Is it normal to be THIS tired.....Is there something wrong medically?? I am really freaked out here!

Re: Help please!

yep, I've had that. You've changed your sleep cycle...it isn't just the amount of hours slept...but the routine of hours.

Re: Help please!

I've had that too .... I have to really pay attention to when I go to sleep and when I get up ... if I go to sleep more than an hour later than usual, I have a hard time sleeping and feel really wiped out the next day or so .... I find I really have to pay attention to my sleep schedule, what I eat, exercise levels, etc. It seems to be a delicate balance and it gets a little irritating at times!

Re: Help please!

i'm having the same problem. ever since my inner ear problem i've been having fatigue and sleep problems. i found that not eating too close to bed time helps, getting to bed earlier and doing something relaxing before helps too. hope u feel better.

Re: Help please!

I can certainly relate.
Suffer from same problem. Sleep has been different since inner ear
problems. First I could not sleep at all, was getting one or two hours.
Much better now - if I am lucky can sleep nearly eight hours but its
never continuous. I always feel fatique and/or sleep during the day
regardless.

Re: Help please!

I, too, have had sleep problems since VN or MAV, not sure which, struck me a few months ago. I wake up a lot in the night, I am tired during the day, and I get fatigued very easily--from walking, reading, driving, anything.

I also go to bed earlier and wake earlier, which is the opposite of my normal cycle.

So odd...

Re: Help please!

I hope this sleep problem does pass.
I mean look its 1:30 am and I am still up. It was the same thing last
night - went to sleep around 2:00 am and awoke at 5:00 am. I am
so tired/sleepy.

This is not normal for me - something is wrong here.

Re: Help please!

Same thing happened to me....went for a number of weeks..then stopped. Remember, insomnia won't kill you...I know that helped me when I felt helpless. Inner ear/migraine can break your sleep cycle. I got some badger sleep balm, some great relaxing music...and it helped also.

Re: Help please!

Without sleep what else is there?
ENT says I have PET. That may be, but I also think I have
some form of middle ear myoclonus. Constant crackling in my ears at
night is the culprit. Sleep aids like Rozerem don't work for me.

Last time this happened, my body just broke down from exhaustion and I was able to get the much needed sleep/rest.

Re: Help please!

I know that yoga can be problematic for some folks with inner ear problems, but I think a modified form helps with sleep problems as well as anxiety. I believe there have been studies that showed yoga helps people sleep better. Also the obvious things like exercise and no caffeine during the day make a big difference.
