VRT-any situation when it shouldn't be done

I was wondering if there are any situations or circumstances that VRT should not be done and can make symptoms worse or make you feel worse and not help at all?

Even as it is supposed to be of no help in MAV, I believe that even on that case it could help you to strengthen your overall dizzy threshold, meaning that it will be harder for you to get dizzy, as your body's response will be not too hard.

The only VRT avoiding situation I could think of is in the event of a stroke, tumor or head/neck injury.

Yes, do not do VRT's if you have a suspected perilymph fistula (minor tear in your inner ear)

I did VRT's because I had thought I had Labrynthitis/Neuronitis.

Turns out the docs were wrong........I had a fistula.

The VRT's just kept re-opening the fistula ............leaking more perilymphatic fluid.
