Feel worse after ENG/CALORIC

Has anyone felt worse after the tests? If so, how long did it take for it to calm down? I had the rotary chair, ENG, Caloric, Dix Hallpike, 2 days ago. All normal. I felt fine before, ok afterwards, woke up next day, off balance, nauseous, tinnitus, & my eyes hurt. Also, today, had my head tilted for a few seconds, thought I was going to spin. Can the Dix Hallpike cause crystals to come loose? I was FINE before those tests. I'd love to hear how others felt after their tests. Thanks, Geneva

Re: Feel worse after ENG/CALORIC

When people feel worse after the caloric, it's a good indicator for MAV because inducing dizziness is a migraine trigger for such people. The induced migraine brings on all of the other crap too including dysequilibrium and other neurological complaints.

I'd start treating whatever it is you are thinking as though it's MAV.

Re: Feel worse after ENG/CALORIC

Thank you Studyin! This year has been a nightmare. Dr has put me back in VRT again, & sending me for a Tilt Table Test. My dizziness is worse in the mornings, & when I first stand up. I don't have migraines, but do understand that with MAV, many people don't. I'll speak with my Dr about the possibility. This may be all coming from my jaw. My bite is off, & I'm wearing a TMJ splint. This all started after a long dental procedure. Thank you again for your reply!
