    Labyrinthitis

It has been a week since I woke up my head spinning and being violently sick.

After reading many posts I suppose I am asking two questions

Will this go away in a few weeks? I am already establishing progress is not linear and appears to be evolving. Each morning I wake up and think what's going to happen today?

I am trying to link the dots. I had not noticed any loss of hearing but my ears feel full. I have been increasingly struggling with both long term and short term memory over recent weeks? Is this connected. I don't recall having a cold or any thing obvious recently.

I am hoping it gets no worse. I am exhausted much of the time. I have been gardening but not up to fitness regimes

Labyrinthitis can take several weeks to get over....if it continues for longer than that perhaps you should see and ENT...

It took my husband four weeks to mostly recover, enough to go back to work, but he wasn't perfectly back to normal until the following week. Feel better soon!!

I know it feels hopeless. I've had it for 2 months now, & at times it can feel really hopeless. I think though that we have to try to be positive, & reach out to those close to us for support.
I hope you feel better soon.

    Re: Labyrinthitis

How does labyrinthitis differ from Meniere's? Meniere's (which I suspect I have) is chronic as far as I know. Similar symptoms include vertigo, nausea, and vomiting.
