    Hi Manybikes,
How have you been doing? I think I also responded to another one of your posts.
May I ask how long it took for you to recover from this VN/labs stuff? I'm almost three years in, (will be three years March 2015.)
My main problems are dizziness, feeling faint, lightheadedness, derealization (feeling like I'm in a dream) and anxiety/panic from all of it.
I was told in May 2012 that I had 25% unilateral loss but that should compensate. Then felt better in 2013 and was driving more, then Sept 2013 had a setback and never felt as good since then. The derealization is horrible. It scares me and I am so scared to drive with this. When I had the calorics testing done in 2012, I remember having my eyes closed and the lady saying I need to keep them open, so I wonder if that could have caused an error in the test. I have a second opinion appt. coming up on December 15 and am very nervous about getting this test again. I keep telling myself, well a week and a half from now it'll be all over. I sure hope it doesn't cause lasting affects. Last time it made me really dizzy and some vertigo but in reality, I think it only last a few minutes but felt longer due to the anxiety. I only felt tired, headache, and muffled hearing the rest of the day. I'm praying that's all I have this time.
Any answers or advice and how long your recovery took would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

    Re: Hi Guys,

    Hi Nicole

Sorry for the delay in replying.
In my case (BVF) recovery is really re-training your brain to adapt to not having any input from the inner ears.
I really didn't start to feel really normal until about the 5 year point. Don't despair!...everyone is different so you may be sooner. The recovery was slow going then it suddenly started to improve dramatically and the set backs stopped happening.
