    Question Annoying ear pressure

    Hi all,

I have had Idiopathic SSHL in 1 ear (right) on may 9th, 2014.
(~30 dB drop in the low-mid frequency spectrum)
I have had a full recovery in hearing within 7-8 days on Prednisone.

    Now,

I have this constant 24/7 ear pressure sensation.
Only have tinnitus in that ear when I yawn.
When I pop my ears intentionally, my normal ear (left) pops normally
But my right ear feels like something is being sucked in, and never pops.
I also have ear pain maybe about 3 times a weak. it can be lengthy, but usually goes away after 2 minutes.

I don't have vertigo and am not "dizzy"
However, "something" does not feel right. Sorry for a lack of a more scientific-based explanation, but this is really the best I can do.
    I can't describe this feeling. It's 24/7.
I would say lightheaded - But I was light-headed in my life before - It's not the same thing.

Anyways, All Test were done - Everything. Not going to name it all.
Done everything from MRI's to ECochG.

My ENT's don't know what to do with me.
They tell me to live with it.
    So I am.
But I am trying to see if I don't have to.
Because, that's def. the better option.

Also, 1 ENT said it might be Atypical Ménière's, But there is no way of telling until something else happens to me (Which makes sense).
I don't have a salt diet, I drink tons of coffee and alcohol - This does not change my symptoms at all. Actually, alcohol makes me feel a little more normal.

Anyways, Just wondering if anyone out there is experiencing this.
    Or..
    Any suggestions?

This is not killing me. There are people who i'm sure are suffering 100x worse then me - I am most def. not complaining with my ear fullness and pain. Just want to see if anyone has had this.

Thank in advance for all comments (if any).

Hi, Kzmo. You might read up on patulous eustachian tube and see if that is what you have. I have had it for at least 15 years. I didn't know what it was; ENT couldn't figure it out. I finally figured it out on my own via internet research. The symptoms are that you get a weird pressure/fullness in your ear. Exterior sounds are slightly muffled, and when you talk you hear an echo. Some people describe it like "having my head in a bucket". My symptoms are intermittent, and seem to be brought on by exertion; having too much caffeine; and/or drinking too little water. I don't think there is any sure treatment for it; I just try to stay hydrated and not drink too much coffee.

Oh, forgot to say - when it is happening, you can get some relief by putting your head down (sit and bend forward until your head is between your legs). Unfortunately, the relief lasts only as long as you keep your head down. :-(
