    Post Constant Rocking

    Hi Everyone,

I am new here in search of hope for cure and advise from everyone who have been experiencing or knowledge of balance disorders.

I got some tremors and swaying, rocking feeling for a week now which has not subsided and was constant after a mild headache and sound sort of faded on my left ear for a second when I leaned on my right and came back. But before this, i already have Balance issues for 3yrs now after a short episode of spinning diziness because of highblood pressure. I felt like I lost position in space and sometimes the floor is swaying or uneven on my left foot.

These conditions are intermittent and I can manage. The neuros told me that Im okay so I settled with it and lived with it. But I already loat my job since I cannot perform and cant even go outside alone and have to be accompanied by someone to help me witg balance. But now the rocking and swaying feeling thing that started last week is what keeps me bothered.

I can't have a good night sleep on some nights as I feel my body is swaying and it keeps me awake. Also it raised my anxiety level really high as I am so afraid of this new sensation I am feeling. Now my ears are like full. I will still have to go to ENT doctor on friday.

I was hoping if anyone who is having the same thing reads this and can advise what to do. I am really scared about this as I easily get panic attacks.

Please help. Thank you and God Bless all!

    Re: Constant Rocking

Looking for help and reassurance here, I have been having balance problems for some time, It starts with a strange feeling in the side of the jaw like my ear has lost equilibrium and then I walk like I am going to fall .I feel this quick fall to the side sensation and I jerk myself back, other times I sit on the floor real quick until the feeling goes away, The last 10 days I have been having these feelings everyday all day. I went to three Doctors in 2 days I was petrified, One Doctor said I had a ruptured ear drum on one side and fluid on the other ear, the other Doctor said I had no fluid in one ear and a slight swelling in the other. The third Doctor said my ears were clear. Now today I feel like I may have an abscess in the jaw or Eustachian tubes as it is stinging slightly under the ear. I am so scared My tonsil does feel sore(right one) and I do get tonsils stones
Even sitting here I get a rocking off balance sensation .What could this be
    Anyone else experience this
I did have a strange thing happen the night before I went to the second Doctor, I was panicking and pacing lifted my head up and this strange bitter taste came flowing from the back of my nose into my throat and for a little while my balance improved. Could the fluid in my ear have drained out the back of my nose, That would explain why the second Doctor did not see fluid in the ear canal. I am deaf or frequency deafness although I have not been tested in years >the Doctor has made me an appointment to have a hearing test, I did have a throat virus that took my voice away about 5 weeks ago could this be related, my jaw is hurting and I am scared
    Regards Helen"

    Hi Helen,

You are not alone. I also experience some stabbing pain on my jaw part like I was having a toothache. It is accompanied by mild headache on my head at the back of my ear. But after I slept for the night it is gone. Although I have no issues with tonsils. I did went to an ENT and he said that my inner ear is already damaged and there is no cure but to cope. Even now the swaying sensation has not gone off. It has been almost 2 mos now.

What I did is to cope. Mind you, I am alao a panic freak and my anxiety gets everything worse and heigthens everything. But I am now starting to manage mg anxiety by not paying too much attention to what I am feeling. I know how hard it is to ignore since you feel it really. What I do is try to be aa optimistic as I can. Get out of the house with someone to loosen up and catch a fresh air. Go on travels. Basically just try to be happy as you can and keep smiling even if it difficult. I also do pray a lot and trust God for help. He is our biggest ally. Things do get better. I'd say I am able to function now unlike a month ago. For sometimes I do get dizzy spells and swaying is high, but I keep a hopeful heart that it will pass. Once I feel better, I start moving. So much self-motivation going on inside me. But trust me, it works.

I am also going to see an Endocrinologist to check on my hormones whether I am having a hormone problem. I have PCOS and have not menstruated for years now so I need to check it with the Endo.

I hope my reply helps you Helen. I know how it feels especially when people around you don't get what you feel as the rocking/swaying thing is not visible as it happens internally. Just keep your hopes high.. Remember, things get better! I also pray for you so we can get through this and bring our normal lives back.

    Hugs,

    Papyrus
