IBS or something else?

As some posters might guess from my username, I've had quite the ordeal with GERD recently and my bowel problems started when I became constipated from taking too many antacids containing aluminium. At one point, I was taking 12-16 tablets a day. So I eventually became impacted and a trip to ER on November 22nd ensued. I was given a phosphate laxative and that cleared me out but things never got moving again and my doctor then put me on lactulose and a high fibre diet, twenty minutes of jogging and three litres of water a day to try make me regular again.

The lactulose helped somewhat but made me very crampy and stools were often still difficult to pass.

Fast forward to January and I developed appendicitis so had that removed and with that ordeal I obviously didn't go to the bathroom for five days in a row. The surgeon prescribed me movicol to clear the new impaction and to keep taking as a maintenance dose afterwards. For the two months or so that I took movicol I was very crampy and windy as well but obviously just put this down to the fact I was taking a laxative every day.

Last week I decided to give coming off of the Movicol a go. At one stage I was on as many as eight sachets a day but had managed to wean myself down to just the one and was still very much regular.

However what's concerning me now is that I am nearly a week off taking movicol, I am still regular (2-3 movements a day) but I'm still incredibly crampy and windy, which I thought was being caused by the movicol all along.

I wake up every morning in a lot of discomfort with winds and cramps and need to use the toilet straight away. Apparently this is good as it means your bowel is 'trained' but I really don't like waking up this uncomfortable every morning. I should mention that my stools are generally a normal consistency and pretty comfortable to pass but I do have a massive hemerrhoid which is taking ages to go away.

Can hemerrhoids cause cramping and wind?

Also, whenever I eat, my stomach blows up like a balloon with wind afterwards and takes ages to pass it with a lot of flatulence.

Could this be IBS even if my stools are of normal consistency?
