    Problems with Tylenol

I have IBS-D and gastritis. I know I should stay away from NSAIDs but why is coated Tylenol killing my gut? I took 2 coated Tylenol last night and as usual, 12 hours later I get lower left large intestinal cramping/stabbing pain. I thought Tylenol was safe. This happens EVERY time I take Tylenol. Does this happen to anyone else? What pain med is ok then if not Tylenol? UGH

Perhaps the coating? Have you tried capsules?

    Re: Problems with Tylenol

Try taking uncoated capsules instead of gel caps or anything with a coating...in general, Tyelnol is recommended for this instead of NSAIDS, but if it happens every time, you might want to try a different type of Tylenol.
