Post Elevated BUN and creatinine !!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

My granny is an approx. 65-year-old Asian woman who was just recently found to have an increased BUN and creatinine of 227 and 8.6 respectively. A week back, she was having decreased sodium for which she was given IV sodium and that normalized subsequently. She seemed to even have mild symptoms of Parkinson's. She, after scanning, was found to have been having only the right kidney congenitally, which was in turn found to be 80% damaged. The doctors had suggested for dialysis two days back. All oral intake was restricted and she was begun on IV, which has been going on for the past week. But now still the BUN and creatinine have been elevated though not rising, but steady in the same range and she has been begun on regular diet (p.o.).

Can someone comment on this situation as to what this all could lead to?????
