Post cystoscope pain and infection

Nearly two years ago I had stones lasered so they could pass after a failed lithotripsy. I have felt like I have had the flu ever since. Some pain meds have gotten me through but not returned to normal.

Recently the massive aching was treated by cipro when the urologist said "there might be an infection in there.". Well three weeks after, I felt like a new man but still had acute pain in the ureter. When cipro ran out doctor wouldn't write new script. I went back to square one. Awful feeling. Fired him. Got my family doc to write cipro for me. I again still have the pain in the flank and ureter. Feels worse when sitting down.

I'm 43 year old male tennis professional, in otherwise great condition when this all started. Haven't exercised since.

Anyone with any ideas?! Please. Need to get back to being a dad to my two boys 4 and 8.
