    Torn Hip Tendons

Hi: After several years of suffering from right side hip pain and being told it was "bursitis", I began having similar pain in my left hip. At that point, I ask to have and MRI performed. It showed torn gluteus medius and minimus tendons, on both sides. I have no good idea what caused this. My guess may be several antibiotics I was on right around the time the pain started. (They both have FDA warnings about possible tendon tears.) Surgery is an option, but with Covid-19 and other more immediate heath issues, I'm just trying to cope with the pain. I am allergic to Aleve (naproxen sodium), but I do take ibuprofen and Meloxicam, with some success. Does anyone have similar issues? If so, can you please share your ways of coping with the associated pain? I am a 69 year old male. Thank you in advance.
