Muscle Spasms after total hip replacement

I had a total hip replacement 8/1/07 and was moved to a Rehab Hospital after 3 days. I continue to have muscle spasms above the knee on the leg that had the replacement. So far they have not been able to control them for a long period which is impacting my therapy. Has anyone had similar problems?

Re: Muscle Spasms after total hip replacement

They finally found the right combination of medicine to stop the muscle spasms. I completed my rehab and came home today. Home Health will provide the rest of my rehab. I am so glad I had the THR as the pain is gone. I think all the days my husband and I spend in the GYM paid off.
