I broke my femur in 4 places, among other things, and have a titanium rod in it. The rod was inserted from the knee up. So far the knee is not to bad. But its less then 8 months.
I am wondering what to expect long term for the knee. I’ve been using kneeling pads when I am on hard surfaces. Am I looking at knee replacement someday?
Ya I know, I should ask the doc, but there has been so many other problems, this one hasn’t come up yet.
Thanks for help.

Re: Knee pain after rod in femur??
Ortho said I would have some issues, with the knee, since they did drill a hole in it. Said would still get by. Which I do.
I have noticed since it got cold, the knee creaks. I can actually hear it. Not painful but weird.
