knee Osteotemy and total knee replacement causing back problems

My original knee surgery was in 1968, a total reconstruction was done, gradually over the years my knee deteriorated causing a severe limp and pain. I had an Osteotemy in 1998(12degrees out) to correct this problem. Immediately I had lower back pain due to the straightening of my leg. In 2005 I had a total knee replacement and my my back pain worsened. I have had two back surgeries since and it has helped some. My feeling is that over so many years of my knee being out of alignment it caused my back to adjust to this condition. With the corrective knee surgeries this caused a dramatic change to my back alignment resulting in another alignment change. can anyone relate to this? I am trying to acquire as much information on this as I can.
