    parital knee replacement--pros and cons

    Hello everyone,

I need some advise from those who have been there. I have been suffering with knee pain for a while now. I was referred to an orthopeadic doctor who did a lot of x-rays and stated on the inside of my right knee was bone on bone. He gave me some options one of which was a brace and shot. Neither one is working for me. So I guess the next step is surgery for a partial replacement. I have other health issures (which should not be a problem). I need to know does it hurt afterwards? How long is recovery? How long do you have to have therepy? I guess my big problem is being put to sleep.
I know the doctor will go over all this but he is not the one having surgery.

If you can give me any of your experiences I would appreciate it very much.

    Thanks,

    Karie
