tendon trouble ?

Hi board 3 months after my surgery (meniscus, fat pad, and plica removal) I have at last manage to sit down and talk to my surgeon.
I told him that phisio did not work because of fluid in my knee and I no longer get phisio which was 3 appointments for about 20 mins where I was given a talk and a copy of exercises to do at home.
He refused to drain my knee but gave me a cortisone jab which has all but cleared the fluid up and told me to come back in 8 weeks his parting line was that I have tendon and muscles problems going on and if he had known my knee was so bad inside he would have left it alone!!!!!!!!!!
The problem that I would like help with now is I have (self diagnosed) hamstring and patella tendon trouble a horrible feeling when I push of on my bad leg when walking.
Has anyone else had this problem and what can I do to help myself as the hospital have finished with me. Please help if you can.

Re: tendon trouble ?

Perhaps seeing another orthopedic knee surgeon is an option. I recently changed knee doctors after about 8 years with a good doctor who is now way too sports medicine oriented for what I need. With severe arthritis I needed a different kind of orthopedic knee surgeon. Now I'm set for a 5 injection course of Supartz. My prior surgoen said my insurance would not improve these shots, but this new doctor said that the right data sent to an insurance company should result in approval and it did!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sure it'll work and I worry it wont given what I have to pay for it. But I almost felt guilty leaving my old knee surgeon but now am so very glad that I did.

Re: tendon trouble ?

Thanks for taken the time to reply how I wish I could changes my orthopaedic knee surgeon but Iím from Scotland and under the N.H.S. itís just not the done thing for another surgeon to deal with you after you have been appointed one.
And it is a very long road to change hospitals as they all come under different
Local trusts funding but on saying that all my treatment and meds are all free so could you please tell me about the Supartz jabs and what the are for so I can suggest them to my surgeon.

Many thanks again Nomparal
