Dislocation, Lucky to still have my right leg below the knee

I suffered a dislocation of my right knee, at the end of July 2012, believe it or not, from RUNNING. Rare as it was , it was called a perfect storm. Ruptured the popliteal artery and stretched the perineal nerve as well. Tore ACL/PCL/LCL, meniscus damage, and more. No previous weaknesses. Hard to believe all that from running trails. After the injury , I started researching it and found that 20 to 40 % result in loss of limb. Wow. I stayed in an external Fixator for nearly 3 weeks and strait leg for a couple of months with limited flexibility. Therapy daily and i I have foot drop as a result of nerve palsy. I noticed similar injuries out there and am looking for mor info on the nerve regeneration. Numb from knee down to top of foot only. Sides and under foot are normal. No Dorsi or aversion movement. About to have second EMG test to determine if making any progress. Most post I have read are from 2010. Anyone out there with good news.
