Now that both hips are replaced--permanent restrictions?

So just hitting the three month mark post surgery and doing well. But I'm fixated on question of restrictions and when I search the board for answers, I keep coming up with questions that I asked four years ago when I got my first hip done. LOL!

Anyway, my surgeon said I should wait at least six months before attempting to kneel. (I'm not a gardener but do some weed pulling and, more importantly, want to figure out when and if I can exercise at floor level etc). I have seen, however, some postings where people say that one should never kneel after both hips are replaced. Really never!

So I would like to hear from those who have both hips replaced whether they were able to kneel and get on floor eventually.

also big question, in your experience, what permanent restrictions do you have?
