Steroid and antibiotic drop question after PRk surgery

Hi Everyone! I have a question. I had a Superficial keratectomy 2 days ago on my left eye. It is basically like the PRK surgery only not using the laser. I have Epithelial basement membrane dystrophy and had a Salzmannís Nodule removed. Anyway, I also suffer from dry eye, so before the surgery my doctor gave me punctual plugs in both the upper and lower lid. Those plugs are keeping my eye very moist - so much so that the regular tearing with the surgery coupled with the plugs, I constantly have tears running down my face. My question is, is when I put in my steriod and antibiotic drops, my eye immediately tears and drops run down my cheek. Does that mean I am getting any actual medicine in my eye or are they just getting washed out? I will call my doc when they open today, but I was just wondering if anyone here has any insight. Thanks!
