Ghosting improvement on a high myope

I'm curious as to how quickly people with a high level of correction experienced improvement with ghosting?

I was a -12 left, -10 right prior to surgery and a week later still have significant ghosting.

I'm also experiencing a fair decrease in contrast sensitivity. I was diagnosed with SPK 3 days after surgery but that has disapated using Thera Tears.
The doctor still sees some "sand" in my cornea but the flap looks good.

I did have the Intralase flap which I would highly recommend for everyone.
I'm just hoping this ghosting retreats fairly quickly.

I will say that I was a 20/30 immediately after surgery and was 20/25 yesterday. If the ghosting goes away, I will definitely be 20/20 and still have hope for 20/15. That is from a -12; -10!
