Regression after LASIK - enhancement!?
I am about 2 months out from my LASIK surgery and my vision has gone from 20/20 the week of surgery to 20/50 last week. I've been told I'll definitely need an enhancement. I'm not real happy about this and am concerned I'll have the same problem again after the enhancement. I'm currently back in contacts and glasses. I will have the enhancement at the beginning of the new year. Anyone else have this problem? Can anyone tell me how the enhancement goes as far as healing time, etc?
Thanks!
edit: the dr. explained that the regression is a complication that only 10% of patients experience and it has to do with how my eyes are healing. Considering I went from 20/30 to 20/50 in 3 weeks, there is reason to believe an enhancement will definitely be needed since I'm not improving, but regressing. He also put me back on the steroid eye drops to try and halt the regression. I forgot I posted below about this. The enhancement surgery will not be performed until I am AT LEAST 3 months out. My vision currently, while a definite improvement over what it was, still requires correction - which defeats the whole purpose of getting lasik!
