Re: Let's Hear from - "No More Ghosting People!"
I have a little bit of ghosting in my right eye (and probably my left but my left is only 2 weeks post-op, so it's too soon to tell). I had my right eye done one month ago with PRK. I think the ghosting is caused from the eye trying to adjust it's vision. Similar to when you are adjusting a pair of binaculars. You move the dial until things come into focus. The cornea is trying to do that very same thing as it heals. As with binoculars, there will be ghosting until you find the right adjustment. Problem is, with the eyes, you are never sure if they are done healing or not. But I've been told that it could take up to several weeks or months for them to stabilize (longer if you are a PRK victim). Right now, the ghosting seems to be clearing up somewhat. It comes and goes. I know I'm still very early in post-op, so I'm not going to start worrying about it for another month. I think you just have to give it time.
