    Pre-Lasik Night Blindness
    I have severe night blindness. I avoid driving at night at all costs, even going from my house to walmart (about 5 miles) is terrifying. And if it's raining? I'm a nervous wreck.

    I have not had lasik yet, but I'm wondering how this will affect my night blindness. My eye doctor said it will help, but what do you guys think?

    I have mild night blindness too.

    Lasik doesn't help. I can see things at night when there's light emitting from them. But I cannot see anything that is dark or non-vibrant colored.

    So don't hope that Lasik will cure your night blindess because you'll be disappointed.

    Lasik made my night driving worse. So I would not recommend you get the surgery at all if you have problems now.
