    Question Husband Lasik Question

My husband had Lasik 3 days ago and can not see close up. He has to wear reading glasses and it clears up. He went to the doc and she said there was swelling and put him on the steroid drops hourly and an oral steroid and he is supposed to go in again in 4 days. He had pretty bad myopia...-8.5 or something.

Anyone have any experience in this??

His vision test showed 20/30 and 20/40 which improved after day 1 of 20/40 and 20/50.

Well for anyone that may be having this issue the doc feels that he is overcorrected. He will probably have to do another Lasik to correct his farsightedness.

I donít like the lasik. They carve your cornea with a laser.
Itís precious an eye. I will not let a doctor carve my precious cornea.
And once itís done, you canít go back, to your original eye cornea.
    Better wearing lenses or glasses.
If you still have your original cornea, your eyes can still improve.

And also after a lasik, your color vision will decrease.
You will see less colors around you. You will see less colors as before.
It's not white and black, but a serious percentage color decrease.
If you have a myopia, and wear classic glasses or lenses, you still see a lot of colors.
But if you have done one, that will be ok, just you have lost color vision.
if that can help people that hesitate.

Yeah leopard. And when someone gets heart surgery, they carve on your precious heart. No going back. Broken forever.

Seriously, there is some truth in there but not much. I did not notice any color changes. However, LASIK is not for everyone thats for sure. If you demand perfect vision with LASIK, then pass on it.

My vision is not perfect but I am glad I had LASIK. It freed me from glasses and contacts which BTW, did not give me perfect vision either.

    Re: Husband Lasik Question

Yeah that’s true, it’s freed you from your glasses and contacts.
    And that’s something.
But how to explain. Once they make your a lasik. After you see always the same.
You are always in the same vision environment.
You can’t compare your color vision before lasik, and after lasik.
You cannot switch from before lasik, to after lasik.
And let’s say you have lost 10 percent color vision , you can’t notice them.

No problem, you see, you can watch everything, but it’s less colorful as before.
And at the same time, you can’t remember how it was more colorful before.

But you know, often people get myopia, because they did mistakes.
The three people i know with bad myopia.
One was watching TV during hours and hours, staying only one meter far away from it’s
    Television.
Another, was nervously scratching his eyes, scratching his eyelids. 30 times a day ,every day.
Another friend, when i was 15 years old, His father had a computers shop, He was watching the
computers 14 hours a day. Every day
This three people ended with a bad myopia..

Other people eat no nutrition food. That reduce the energy metabolism level.
After for some, the eyes sight decreases. Often our eyes issue. We did it.

But if you stop making this mistakes, then your eyesight will slowly improve.
The body can improve, even the eyesight.
I don’t speak about you, i don’t know you, just i speak about the three people with myopia i
    know.
But if you had a Lasik. This eyes improvement function, is disturbed.
Can’t work properly. Because you have this permanent glasses carved on your eyes .
Without lasik, you can still naturally improve your eyesight.

look: You don’t have a lasik. Your eyesight improve, Then you throw away your glasses and buy
    new one, less thick one.
But if you have a lasik, you can’t change to less thick glasses. This improve function is locked.
