Slightly blurred vision a few years after Lasik

Hi,

I had Lasik surgery a few years ago (I think in 2007 or 2008). Things are going pretty good with my vision thus far, except for when I watch TV. Our TV is not very far from the couch either. If I am watching any japanese cartoons that have subtitles at the bottom (the subtitles aren't that small in size) I start having a hard time to read them. Some of the words are readable, but others are more blurry. Also, when I try to use the TV guide (where it lists what show is on each channel), I have trouble reading that as well. Most of it is blurry to me. Other than that, everything else seems alright.

Is this problem something worth going to get another eye exam for? Any advice? Thanks.

I would think an exam is needed - your eyes have changed. Did you go for the lifetime guarantee?

I had lasikplus lasik eye surgery in September 2008. In the past year or so my eyes have changed slightly. I did purchase free lifetime enhancements and will go back for the enhancement surgery as soon as I can schedule it. I have been very happy with the results and expected for some reason that I would have to come back at some point for tweaks because they offered lifetime enhancements. It is no surprise as we age our eyes change and just because we had lasik eye surgery i didn't think my eyes would stop changing. I am going to set up an appointment with an eye doctor not sure whether i should go to optomatrist or opthamologist (sp?) or if it even matters. I can't wait to get this done again, because I hate the thought of having to wear corrective lenses after all that money I spent to be lens and frame free!

I hope you get your eyes checked and go back and have the surgery again if you chose the lifetime enhancements.

All the best
