    SBK "Blended Vision" Issues

Hi all. I am a 47 year-old male in good health. A week ago, on 4/26/13, I had the SBK "blended vision" procedure done as I was horribly nearsighted (-8.5 in both eyes). This technique is where they target the dominant eye on far away items, and the non-dominant eye (the left eye, in my case) is targeted on intermediate and close-up items. The theory is that, in time, the brain will be able to "blend" the eyes so that everything looks just fine.

My question to the board is - how long of a time are they talking about until the brain gets it right?? Right now, my right eye is 20/20 and my left eye is 20/40 and it's driving me nuts by having two different focal points!

Any input would be hugely appreciated!

Just wondering if you ever ended up adjusting to this & if you are happy now? This is the exact blended vision target that I am considering (about 20/40 in the non-dominant eye). Trying in contacts now prior to possible surgery.
