Scared in GA

Hi. My 6 year old daughter is being referred to a hematologist. She recently had a cold, however all the symptoms resolved except the fever. Her fevers have been running around 102. She denies any pain. No night sweats. Yesterday her WBC was 34,000, Lym 20,000, PLT 196,000 She was diagnosed with leukocytosis, lymphocytosis and granulocytopenia. They gave her a Rocephin injection. Her labs today were WBC 27,000 and lymph 16,000, PLT 238,000. Can someone please tell me if this looks like it could be leukemia. Thank you.

Re: Scared in GA

Hi there,

I am not a doctor, but it could be a clue into being something like leukemia. Hopefully it is not. Have you heard anything since?
