    Stage 4 "A" Cirrhosis

My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis stage 4 A in May. His doctor seems to take a very lax attitude and says he will be fine that as long as he doesn't drink alcohol and reduces his sodium intake that his life expectancy can be long since he is stage 4"A" and in fact says he could possibly go back to stage 3. Has anyone heard of this before? Interested in another opinion as everything I read about stage 4 is not positive. Also, the doctor tested for Hep A- came back as Reactive does this mean he is immune to HepA? Thank you!
