Re: Ammonia levels
Ammonia levels are subjective for each individual. My Doctor has seen patients with rather high levels of Ammonia have hardly any symptoms and some like myself who has low levels which affect me drastically. They will ask you to monitor your protein intake because it converts to Ammonia through digestion and probably put you on Lactulose which will make you have frequent bowel movements. This is the only way to rid the body of Ammonia. I take 90 mg a day of Lactulose to keep my Ammonia levels low and allow me to get the protein I need to avoid muscle loss. I hope this helps.
