Mild Hepatomelagy & Mild Fatty Infiltration
Hello,
I was just told that I have mild hepatomelagy (enlargement of the liver) as well as mild fatty infiltration via ultrasound. My doctor advised me to get an ultrasound because my bloodwork showed that only my AST was elevated above the normal range my 3. It was a 35 when the range ends at 32. What I was inquiring was if I would be able to drink alcohol while I was treating this enlargement of my liver. Since the initial test I have had another test where my AST level dropped down to 27. But only my AST level was elevated in the beginning. I have hypothyroidism and I don't know if that would have anything to do with my diagnosis. But I am not an avid drinker of alcohol, but I was just wondering if anyone knows if this will cause my condition to worsen where it can't be reversed, if I were to drink only for one night.
Thanks!
