Reddish-Orange palms
Hi, I've been feeling bad for quite a while and have had lots of symptoms. I'm 40 years old and have suddenly gained a lot of weight. ALso, when I drive, the palms of my hands turn bright orange. This is intermittent but it never happened before. What could possibly cause this???

Aside from advice "go see your doctor," (I ALREADY KNOW THIS) please give me any info you have on this subject. Thanks for you time. :)

Re: Reddish-Orange palms
The only time I have seen orange palms is in a vegetarian I work with. Beta-Carotene in large amounts is known to cause orange palms.

Are you "juicing" or consuming large amounts of vegetables? Are you taking an astaxanthin supplement?

The red palms of liver disease usually start out as distinctive, well defined areas near the wrist, with the center of the palm remaining pale.

Hope this helps.
